I went to Calgary for 4 days to spend time with my Great Aunt and second cousins. It was lots of fun. Calgary is not as pretty as Toronto but it has amazing views of the mountains. We drove to Banff in the Rockies. The area is incredible (see photos). We also drove for 3 hours across the prairies to Brooks for a big Thanksgiving dinner and to see the Alberta Badlands. They were both stunning too. I wish I could have stayed longer but it was an excellent flying visit.

Sorry to people who check my blog. As you can see, I've got very lazy updating it. I went to Niagara Falls with a friend two weeks ago. It was a lovely day for walking along the gorge, sliding down into the gorge (away from the falls, where the drop is not as sheer - for those who were told that I jumped down the falls), and taking the Maid of the Mist boat into the spray of the falls. I got very wet and had a great time.

Last weekend there was a huge arts festival through the streets of downtown Toronto. The roads were closed to traffic and ridiculous exhibits and performances went right  through the night. The weather was freezing! Unsurprisingly, my favourite exhibit was the one where we got to participate in making large cannon-like tubes shoot fire. That was nice and warm.
